I know what you’re thinking: I’m practically reinventing the wheel by telling you that florals are in for spring. In fact, I usually hate prints—black is my favorite color. But, while doing some recent online shopping, I couldn’t help but notice that florals are everywhere and in a different way. Instead of the usual pastel colored prints, I’ve been seeing a darker take on florals this spring, making them edgier rather than super girly. If you are looking to amp up your spring wardrobe without compromising your style, check out these pieces for a trendy take on florals.
This top is by a newer brand called Ganni, and their pieces are super unique. It would look great with boyfriend jeans and a leather jacket.
This Flynn Skye dress is perfect with heels for a summer wedding or a jean jacket and white sneakers for daytime. The dark coloring offsets the flowery print, making this dress really versatile.
Not a typical “floral,” but this t-shirt does have roses! Re-done makes the best cotton t-shirts; they are the perfect crop and a staple in my wardrobe. This tee can work with jean shorts for class or jeans and booties for dinner with friends.
I love this structured blouse by Alice and Olivia. It’s super sophisticated and trendy at the same time. This top is a statement piece and great for a dressy dinner.
I’m obsessed with this Tori Praver bikini set! It’s summery, but in an unusual color palette. I will definitely be investing in this bikini for summer. It also comes in a light pink color!
And lastly, my favorite: this dress by Zimmerman, the queen of all things floral. While quite pricey, Zimmerman makes the most stunning dresses and rompers. This dress could work as a cover up for a beach day or a summer night out.
You can find all of these items, and more of your floral dreams, on Shopbop!
