With the stress of finals, we could all use a huge study detox. What sounds better right now than lying on a beach? Maybe a warm cup of hot coco and cozy PJs—but, for those of you headed to the sun and sand this holiday season, keep reading for some tips on how to look your best for your winter break vacay!

I find that bathing suits are the one item of clothing that people can never get enough of. No matter how many options we have, we always want that fresh, new bikini whenever we have an excuse like vacation to wear one. For such tiny pieces of fabric, swimsuits can be so ridiculously overpriced. But, there are so many ways to find fabulous bathing suits at an inexpensive price. The first place I always look is Amazon. I know, I know, Amazon doesn’t seem like the place to find the trendiest suits, but they have an abundance of options, including very good copies of luxury brands. I recently visited the store Everything But Water (which has beautiful suits) and found a fun yellow one piece that I loved. The price was far too high for what I wanted to spend, so I just tried searching “yellow one piece” on Amazon and found almost the same exact one. That’s a price difference of over $200! Trust me. Try Amazon.

Bathing suit trends definitely change with every new warm weather season. There is always a new fad, whether it’s crochet suits, one pieces, velvet bikinis, and so on. Look through the following pics to see some recent trends I have noticed that I like a lot. Good places to find affordable, yet stylish suits like these are Missguided, Forever 21, Nasty Gal, and Pac Sun.

Missguided

This suit displays vertical stripes and off-the-shoulder detail. Both of these details make the suit classy and funky at the same time, and are very slimming.

The open stomach suit is SO in style right now. This combines the bikini and one-piece styles perfectly, creating an easy, flirty, and fun piece. I especially love the color blocking in this particular one. Wearing a suit like this in bright colors will make you and your awesome tan stand out on the beach.

Forever21

The high-waist trend from the mid 1900s has definitely made a comeback in the past few years. This eclectic look not only spices up the basic bikini, but also covers up those few extra croissants you had at breakfast. I love it paired with this bustier type top; so flirty, yet elegant at the same time.

All of these looks are super accessible, fun, and flattering. For those of you who aren’t on a budget for your winter break swimsuits, here are some of my favorite looks at a higher price point.

I love this absolutely stunning crochet one piece! The ties up the side are the perfect, prettiest detailing. NEED!

Kiini

Super hip, hand-woven bikini. Love the one shoulder look, especially for vacation.

Revolve

One of my favorite trends: the ruffle strap. This little detail turns the simple triangle bikini into a whole new girly look, especially when paired with a cool floral print like this.

Try out some of these looks for your next winter vacation. There are so many exciting options for you to try at all different price points! Don’t be afraid to look in places you wouldn’t normally look and feel free to splurge if you find a look that’s one of a kind.

Wishing you all a Happy Holiday filled with all the cute bikinis you could ask for!
