Now’s the time you should start shopping for spring break and summer swimwear if you haven’t already. Here’s our forecast for what should be on your wishlist:
The Mesh and Crochet Cover-up
One of the main trends I predict will stay this summer is cover-ups. Last summer, we saw cover-ups in various forms solidify their presence in fashion.

One-Piece Swimsuits
They’ve made a comeback. I feel like one-piece swimsuits have this kind of elegance that bikinis don’t have. Yet, they can also have touches of sexiness, depending on the design. I first started wearing them because I gained the freshman 15 and felt insecure about how my body looked, and they made me feel confident. Now, I absolutely adore them and love the simplistic vibe they give. So, if you need a confidence boost or just want to hop on the trend, I’ve left some of my favorite one-pieces below for some inspiration.

Funky Retro Sunglasses
We’ve seen ‘70s and ‘90s fashion become integrated into current fashion trends, and these inspired looks are here to stay. A great accessory to the one-piece trend is a pair of funky retro sunglasses. They can be both a staple and statement piece to amply your outfit. Layering and dimensions are everything. I love to wear my statement sunglasses paired with layers of chunky, colorful rings and gold jewelry alongside my one-piece swimsuit under a neutral crochet cover-up when I go to the beach. If I want to make my outfit over the top, I wear my headscarf.
