Now that Thanksgiving has passed, it is officially holiday season! Cue the Christmas music and sparkling string lights at every corner. With the contagious holiday cheer comes the enthusiasm to start shopping for others and giving people an idea of what you would like to receive. If you are a health enthusiast or know someone who is, I have tons of suggestions for the perfect gift. Even if you are not health obsessed, these items are great for everyone! Giving or receiving one of these gifts may even inspire a New Year’s resolution in the world of wellness. After too many sugar cookies and drinks (eggnog of course), we all need some help to recover from the holiday hangover.

1. FitBit

A FitBit is a great tool for tracking your health and fitness goals. There are many different FitBit options and each has different features including a heart rate monitor, sleep tracker, and a step and calorie counter. In general, FitBits are a great way to motivate a healthy lifestyle!1

2. Essential Oil Diffuser + Essential Oils

Aromatherapy has a wide range of benefits from sleep aid to improved energy. Some of my favorite essential oils are lavender for sleep, eucalyptus for immunity support, and peppermint to alleviate headaches and stomach pain.

3. Foam Roller

A foam roller is perfect for the fitness fanatic. Foam rolling loosens sore muscles and improves muscle reparation after a workout. It is also a good way to warm up before a workout to help avoid injuries.

4. Blender

A blender is a great gift for any smoothie lovers. With one, it’s possible to be a true dorm room chef. I keep a nutribullet in my room to make delicious and nutritious smoothies before class or after a workout.

5. Your Tea

Your Tea is a company that sells boxes of tea focused on specific health concerns and goals. Some of the teas are skin magic tea, happy tea, sleep tea, and even sex tea. If you are shopping for a college friend you may want to get them the hangover tea! The Wellness Box is a good choice because it has a variety of tea blends to try. The boxes come in cute colors and designs, making it an exciting present to give or receive.

6. Spoonk Groove Ball

The Spoonk Ball delivers the healing effects of acupressure in a more accessible and less expensive way. Acupressure is believed to relieve stress, relax muscles, and alleviate chronic pain. Instead of going to an acupuncturist, you can roll the ball under your feet or between your hands whenever you need to improve overall wellness!grooveball2.jpg

7. Lily’s Chocolate

For an edible gift to satisfy the health conscious, Lily’s Chocolate is the perfect sweet treat. Lily’s is a chocolate bar brand that is sweetened with Stevia (a zero-calorie sweetener) and has no sugar added. There are a variety of delicious flavors and some are even vegan.135601_1.jpg

8. Gift Cards

Gift cards are the gifts that keep on giving. A good option for the health and wellness enthusiasts are gift cards to healthy grocery stores like Whole Foods or Trader Joes. Another option is a gift card to athletic apparel stores like Lululemon or Gymshark. A gift card to a fitness studio is a fun option too because it provides an experience instead of a material item (I would personally ask for a gift card to a yoga studio). Lastly, gift cards to any health restaurants are a great choice. Some of my favorite healthy choices in New Orleans are Raw Republic, Good Bird, and The Daily Beet.

9. Stocking stuffers

Additional small items that are great as wellness stocking stuffers include reusable metal straws, mugs, workout headbands, bath bombs, and a jade roller.

Give the gift of health this season! It can be overwhelming to figure out the perfect present, but holiday gifts are about so much more than giving a material item. This is the time of year to show people how much you care, and there is no better way than to give the gift of wellness.
