It’s that time of the year again! The spring semester is coming to an end and that means finals, Jazz Fest, and most importantly for all you seniors, graduation. Invites have been sent to parents, tears have started to shed from the seniors, and the anxiety about finding a dress has most definitely kicked in. Finding a dress for any event can be so stressful sometimes, especially for a milestone event like college graduation. NOLA heat can be unbearable, so it’s beyond important that whatever you wear you’ll be comfortable in.

With the beautiful weather starting to kick in, a flowy floral dress goes perfectly with a sunny day. Reformation is always my go-to for these kinds of dresses; right now, the selection is perfect for graduation dress options. I love the midi length dresses that I feel like I keep seeing more and more of. Often times, I’m hesitant to buy them because I’m worried I won’t have an occasion to wear them to, but graduation is the ideal time to try out this sophisticated and classy look.

White is my absolute favorite color to wear in the summer because it makes me feel so tan and sun-kissed. Finding the perfect white dress that is flattering and comfortable can be a challenge. To make sure you don’t feel confined in a tight white dress, you can opt for a white ruffled dress that gives off the summery vibe we all love so much.

One of my favorite trends for spring and summer is a puffed sleeve. It is so feminine and fun and adds something extra to an otherwise plain dress. Although your shoulders are covered under your graduation gown, you are going to love pictures taken outside the Superdome in your gorgeous mini.

Whether you choose one of these trends, or something else entirely, your big day will be made even better by how awesome you look! For more ideas, check out ShopBop, Lulus, or HelloMolly.
