The New Orleans heat is in full swing, and if that isn’t a call to start building your summer wardrobe, I don’t know what is! Summer 2022 is all about bright, fun, stand-out choices, so I compiled a list of my favorite of these trends to incorporate in your closet, and links to get the look!

  1. A Feather Moment

I have been seeing these feather tops everywhere recently – and for good reason!! Especially in these fun pastel colors, they are so adorable and add a statement to any outfit. Throw one of these on with a pair of jeans and you’re ready for dinner or a night out! I found almost the exact same strapless top you can purchase on Amazon here for only $14, and it comes in a ton of different colors!

2. Colorful Blazers

Colorful blazers are everywhere right now and it makes sense because they are adorable! They’re great either layered with another shade of the same color for a monochromatic look or thrown on top of a more simple, neutral outfit. I love this pink oversized one and this orange one from Nasty Gal as well as this green one from Edikted!

3. Silky/Satin Dresses

Let’s be honest, these have been trendy for a while…but I couldn’t leave them out, they aren’t going anywhere!! They are too easy to throw on and they still look so polished and dressed-up. There are also so many different styles and colors of silk dresses to wear that it is hard to pass up such a sophisticated look. I love any of the silk dresses on Princess Polly like this one, or for this classic one from Aritzia.

4. Corset Tops

Corset/bustier tops, especially in bright colors or prints are the perfect versatile addition to your summer wardrobe! Paired with white/denim jeans or a matching skirt like this green top from Peppermayo, corsets are great for dinner and drinks with a friend or summer nights going out. They can also be dressed up or down or worn in different/colors or prints! These printed corsets from Cool as A Construct are pricey, so a less expensive alternative is this one from Princess Polly.

5. Popped Collar Preppy

I have seen this trend everywhere – whether it be on one of these adorable terry cloth rompers/dresses or a cropped t-shirt paired with a skirt! Golf/tennis-chic is in and no matter how you choose to sport this trend, a collar makes any outfit feel classy. Paired with some chunky white sneakers, gold jewelry, and a small shoulder bag, this outfit is even more polished! An exact dupe for the green romper can be found here on Amazon! I also love this collared dress from Beginning Boutique.
