We all know and love Vogue’s YouTube series “Beauty Secrets.” The series features some of the most well-known faces in fashion, beauty, and pop culture. All the videos are filmed in a bathroom setting that facilitates an intimate, personal experience between the celebrity and the viewer. There are a variety of makeup looks to choose from, with some videos focusing only on skincare. I love this series because it feels like I am getting ready alongside whomever I watch. I am one to live through celebrities vicariously, and this series gives viewers a more in-depth look at what products, tips, and tricks our favorite faces in pop culture are using.
I will list some of my favorite videos from this series that have tips you can follow. Most of these videos feature products beyond the typical college student’s budget, but the processes are easy to replicate with whatever products you have on hand!

First up, we have “Emily Ratajkowski’s 5-Minute Date-Night Look.” I think this video is helpful and one that you can actually follow because she applies a lot of the product with her fingers and does not stress about everything being perfect. I love that all her products are formula-light and help achieve a natural makeup look. It is a very casual, effortless look, but it is one we should all have in our repertoire.

Next is “Sofia Richie on Sensitive Skin Care, Her Travel Routine, and the Beauty Lessons She’s Learned from Her Dad.” Since Sofia Richie is my favorite nepotism baby, this video is one that I have seen many times. All her looks are effortlessly chic, natural, and classy. Sofia talks about the ins and outs of sensitive skincare in this video. Her dad, Lionel Richie, makes a cameo, and Sofia explains how she has learned a lot about skincare from him. This video is easy to follow, and the makeup look suits anyone.

Up next, we have “Selena Gomez on Acne, Mental Health, and Her Day-to-Night Makeup Strategy.” I picked this video because she gives the best tips for switching from a day-to-night makeup look. Like the last video, she stresses the importance of skincare and having a solid base before starting your makeup. Selena uses her Rare Beauty makeup line in this video. While this is an older video, Rare Beauty products have been trending, and all the products help to accentuate your features rather than conceal them.

Next is “Addison Rae on Faux Freckles, TikTok Fame, and Her Go-To Glowy Makeup Look.” Addison Rae is one influencer who has really transformed their brand over the last couple of years. While TikTok was her starting point, she has been able to jumpstart her career in the beauty realm with her new line, Refy. I chose this video because of her faux freckles routine. The look she does in this video is glowy, dewy, and a perfect example of spring/summer makeup. The freckles she does in this video are the perfect touch for a sun-kissed look. I love how natural this look turns out; the faux freckles are the cherry on top.

Last but not least is “Sam Smith on Fresh Skin Care, 4-Step Makeup, and the Beauty Procedure That Transformed Their Look.” In this video, Sam Smith talks about their skincare and simple makeup routine. Although this video does not include as much makeup as the others, skincare is equally as important – makeup needs a solid base to work its magic. Sam goes through their favorite products, and I think their routine is easy to replicate with your own products.
