This is an uncertain and uneasy time in our world. People are consumed with uncertainty surrounding the idea of the future, and that is okay. COVID-19 has brought students home from college in the middle of the semester, forced parents to work from home, and has ultimately disrupted our everyday lives and normal routines. It’s normal to feel anxious. Let me just bold that for emphasis: It’s okay to feel anxious! Due to self-isolation, most of us are squeezed under one roof with our families, and have limited freedom to explore the outside world. As Tulane students, this is especially hard for us because we are used to having the magic of New Orleans at our fingertips: jazz in the Quarter, fresh oysters, walks through the park on a sunny and 75 degree day. Now, it’s more like laptops, Zoom, puzzles, and wine. Whether you’re obsessed with your family like I am, or prefer to stay isolated in your room, I think we can all agree on one thing: quarantine content is so needed. Finding ways to entertain yourself is the solution to the inevitable boredom, and you can thank me later, because I’ve grouped together all the best forms of entertainment by streaming site. As a film student, I pretty much eat, sleep, and breathe movies and television; trust me, it won’t get any better than this.
