Let’s be honest, when it comes to finding outfits for game day or even just dressing with school spirit, it’s hard to find options that are cute, versatile, and not super expensive. That’s why I have taken it upon myself to do a deep dive so you don’t have to stress about your next game day look. Here are our top items and favorite places to shop for game day.
Bottoms
A staple bottom is the key to an outfit. Given that it’s usually 80 degrees here in Nola, I think a denim mini or shorts is the only way to go. Although Revolve can be pricey, if you put in the time, you will find that they have some good options at decent prices. Here are some of our favorites.

A good jean skirt is a must-have. This Liberty Micro Mini Skirt from Superdown is a perfect addition to your wardrobe that you can wear anywhere.

I think these Maelle Shorts from Guizo are a staple in your wardrobe for game day or just going out. They would go perfectly with a green or blue top and can be dressed up or down.

These Demia Shorts from Revolve are perfect for lounging or a game. This sporty look goes with everything and is a quintessential staple. The green is the perfect shade of Tulane’s iconic green. These shorts can be styled with a white top to match the stripes or any other cute merchandise you have.
Tops
My issue when shopping for game day tops is the lack of variation. I usually see the same designs, and I find it kind of boring. Hype and Vice is pretty reliable and my usual go-to when it comes to finding flattering tops with a variety of designs, as well as Established & Co. Here are some of my faves that go with anything.

First is the Tulane Tube Top, which comes in three different colors, green, white, and black, and is super comfy. This top is easily styled with a jean skirt or cute shorts for a simple but effortless game day fit

Another cute top I found on Hype and Vice was this Tulane University Basketball Jersey. It’s a little more athletic looking, which I love, and could be layered or just how it is. It’s a super great eye-catching staple piece to have.

I also found this super cute “tailgate top”, a cropped tank from Established and Co. You could style this with a cute white skirt, like the one pictured above, or the Liberty Micro Mini Skirt.
Outerwear
If I’m looking for unique pieces, I go straight to Depop. Depop is a more sustainable way to shop, and you can always find something cute at a less expensive price than shopping in traditional retail. Here are my favorite finds of the day, after just typing in the search bar “Tulane Jackets.”

As soon as I saw this jacket, I became obsessed with it. Not only are the colors perfect, but the little striped detail on the blue is to die for. It’s a great jacket for fall, plus super versatile and can be worn for different occasions, not just game day. This jacket is from the Depop seller, “Shopbekie.”

I love this slightly retro varsity jacket. I would style this jacket with shorts (I like to match oversized jackets with smaller bottoms) or jeans and sneakers when it gets a little colder-it works as an add-onto any outfit. This jacket depop seller is “campcityresale”.
