There is truly nothing better than finding your ride-or-die products that you can’t live without. As the seasons change, it’s important to be consistent with self-care and find some new favorites for the end of your year. Below are some of my all-time favorite products to boost your self-care routine and nourish all five of your senses!

Hearing: The Skinny Confidential Podcast

TSC Podcast

I am constantly looking for new podcasts on the iPhone Podcast app, and recently I have become obsessed with The Skinny Confidential, which has evolved into a blog, book, podcast, YouTube channel, and app. The podcast is hosted by Instagram star Lauryn Evarts Bosstick and her husband, Michael Bosstick. Their humorous dynamic puts a unique twist on each episode as they interview celebrities, entrepreneurs, social media influencers, health experts, and thought leaders, discussing everything from wellness, health, and self-care tips, to business and relationship advice.

They feature various health and wellness experts in alternative and more mainstream health fields. For example, Nick Green, CEO of Thrive Market, discusses how to start a business and pitch it to potential investors, and Kate Somerville talks about skin care routines and how to name a brand. I have gained so much knowledge from this podcast.

My favorite part about this podcast is that Lauryn ends each episode by asking the interviewee about their morning routines and tips and tricks that have led them to become successful, and I have incorporated many of these healthy habits into my life!

 Touch: Jade Rolling

Allure

Although jade has been used as a wellness practice to maintain body fluid for centuries, the jade roller has recently become popular again. Used by massaging your face with a serum or moisturizer, the massaging motion of this beauty tool drains your lymphatic system, removes toxins from the skin, improves circulation, reduces wrinkles, replenishes your facial muscles, and revitalizes the elasticity of your skin. I have recently incorporated this tool into my nighttime routine. Other than it feeling amazing, I have noticed that my skin is more moisturized and revitalized!

Smell: Kumba Made Persian Garden Fragrance Oil

PERSIAN-GARDEN-FRAGRANCE-OIL
Kuumba Made

I buy this perfume at Whole Foods (which may not seem like the typical fragrance shop) but when it comes to skincare and perfumes, I am a big believer that the more natural the product, the better! In the same way that you eat food and digest the nutrients, any product you apply to your skin absorbs through it and into your body. Unfortunately, many perfumes and colognes contain toxic chemicals. But this doesn’t mean you have to stop smelling amazing; there are an abundance of natural alternatives to perfume that smell equally as good.

My all-time favorite fragrance oil is by Kumba Made, a company that draws from the practice of herbalism and uses high-quality essential oils and plants to create distinctive scents. My favorite scent from the collection is Persian Garden which can be purchased on Amazon or at any whole foods!

Taste: Lentil Chips

Simply 7 Snacks

Since one of my favorite activities is grocery shopping, I’m constantly trying to find alternatives to typical snack foods. With this said, the Simply 7 Lentil Chips have become my new snacking addiction. Although to some a chip made out of lentils might sound too nutritious for snacking, I actually think they taste better than potato chips (yes, this includes Lays and Doritos). The best part is there are only four ingredients: lentil flour, potato starch, sunflower and/or safflower oil, and sea salt. Simply 7 Lentil Chips turn your snacking game into a guilt-free activity!

Sight: Eye Mask

Urban Outfitters

I never thought I would be one of those people who wears an eye mask, but when living in a dorm with shades that don’t do their job, this item is necessary. The NOLA sun is brutal at 7 AM, but ever since I got my eye mask, my sleep has improved drastically, which is one of the most important aspects of self-care.

These must-have products have all been game changers for me and are definitely essentials in my self-care routine. I encourage you to try them and hope that they enhance and improve your life as they did for me!
