Face Masks: TLC For Your Skin

Lately, I’ve been seeing so many girls on my floor chillin in their rooms with a colorful face mask on and a soft towel wrapped on their heads. Sounds like a great way to unwind from the stress of classes, exams, projects, etc. (the list could go on for days, truthfully). I myself have tried a few face masks and here are my recommendations! While these masks have worked best for me, finding the perfect mask is a journey that I encourage every girl to embark on!

  1. Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask

This is an AMAZING mask for those with normal to dry skin. There’s no need to wash it off until the next morning (yes, you can sleep in it. No, it doesn’t stain your bedding). Honestly, it acts more like a lotion than a traditional mask. It completely sinks into your skin, forming a layer that retains moisture. Plus, it smells like fresh apricot! Every morning when I wash it off, I have the softest skin ever. What’s not to love?

  1. GLAMGLOW SUPERMUD Clearing Treatment

One of the coolest things about this mask is that as it dries, you can actually see the product forming little white pockets around your pores. It can look kind of gross at first, but it’s oddly satisfying once you wash off the mask. You’ll find that your pores are smaller and your overall complexion smoother. This is for oily or acne-prone skin.

While this mask is advertised for restoring an even skin texture, it is, in my opinion, a really good one for brightening up your complexion. It feels cooling upon application and has little jojoba beads for exfoliation. Leave it on for about 25 minutes, and once you wash it off, you’ll see that your skin looks a shade brighter than normal. In my experience, very few masks have results as immediate as this one. Love it!

  1. TonyMoly I’m Real Makgeolli Mask Sheet

For those of you who haven’t heard about Korean sheet masks, they work wonders for a boost of hydration. Makgeolli is actually a Korean fermented rice wine that is known to even out skin tone and lighten blemishes over time. This mask absorbs into your skin easily, making your skin feel plump and moisturized. When I used it, there was no residue on my skin, and I even had leftover product to rub on my neck and hands! It works well for all skin types.
