If you’re anything like me, you’re starting to get sick of seeing videos like “Get Ready With Me for Coachella” and “Help me Pick Out an Outfit for Coachella.” For what was once the crown jewel of music festivals, for its music, in recent years the media of Coachella is much more focused on fashion. So much so that influencers and popular content creators create videos after the end of the Coachella weekends, brutally roasting people’s outfits. The style trends in Coachella festival wear has shifted dramatically over the years. From James Charles’ assless chaps to this year’s bohemian chic, each year has a sense of unpredictability, but somehow everyone’s got the same aesthetic on the day of the festival. Let’s take a look at some of the stand out accessories, looks, and iconic fashion moments from Coachella 2025.

Modern Day Woodstock, but make it 2014

Coachella fashion has taken much of its inspiration from 60s and 70s counterculture over the years, a time when music, especially live music, was a celebration of art and personal expression, often rebellious as well. What many people have claimed as a “modern day woodstock”, in 2025 it’s clear that Cochealla is bringing in a similar energy and style 0f woodstock as attendees are expressing a carefree, relaxed style while experimenting with new trends and looks. While taking heavy inspiration from the 60’s and 70’s, other influencers who attended the festival brought back some of the iconic 2014 and early 2010’s festival fashion trends. Influencer Darianka, was named best dressed for OG Coachella in my book.

Emergence of Trends

Every year Coachella sets new trends for festival wear. This year, Coachella’s guests brought with them the next fashion trends that are bound to define this year’s ongoing festival season. Here are some of my favorite styles that dominated my FYP these past two weekends:

  • LOTS of Feathers

Hair, shoes, earrings, tops, you name it.

  • Belts, Belts, and More Belts.

People styled belts on belts, sometimes 3 or more layered at the same time, they put belts on their purses and even their boots. If we’ve noticed anything from Coachella fashion trends, the more accessorizing the better.

  • Accessories are the outfit

Flower crowns, scarves (in hair, draped on bags and hanging from belts and body chains, used as a top are just a few ways people have styled scarves), body jewelry as clothing, and even accessorizing accessories like boots and purses.

  • Chic Mud-Proof Boots

This year guests have ditched the impractical footwear and opted for practical, mud proof boots like rainboots, buckled boots, Doc Martens, etc.

  • A Whole Lot of Fringe

Fringe is back in for festival wear and bolder than ever. This Coachella season brought fringe jackets, to mini shorts, to boots.

  • Flower Crowns (Thank You Darianka)

Flower crowns are officially cool again thanks to influencer Darianka, as shown above.

  • T-Shirt Slogans: Protect the dolls

Troy Sivan wore a T-Shirt that said, ‘Protect the Dolls’, a term that refers to protecting trans women. Sivan’s choice to wear this shirt during Charlie XCX’s Weekend 1 Coachella performance comes at a crucial time for trans people, especially in the US. Recently, Donald Trump has declared that the government will “only recognise two genders, and citizens are already being denied their preferred gender on their passports”.

Who won the 2025 Coachella Outfit Olympics?

As weekend two of Coachella comes to an end, the outfit rating Olympics begin. For years influencers, TikTokers, and YouTubers have rated other influencer and celebrity Coachella outfits in a brutally honest nature. As someone who has never been able to go to Coachella, this is always the most entertaining part of the weekend for me. Let’s take a look at some influencers and celebrities who I think won the Coachella 2025 Outfit Olympics!

The Coachella 2025 season reminded us of a few things. Fashion history repeats itself. It’s hot in the desert. And flower crowns can make a comeback, when styled right of course.

So…

Which of these 10 looks is your favorite?

Who dressed best?

What would you wear to Coachella?
