The Adidas Samba has taken the footwear world by storm in recent years. The sneaker, once synonymous with indoor soccer, became a staple in the wardrobes of sneakerheads worldwide. Whether it be the classic black and white or one of the many colorways available, it seems as though you can’t look outside without spotting at least one person sporting Sambas. Adidas released collaborations with heavy hitters such as Wales Bonner, Sporty & Rich, and Pharrell Williams, which were exceptionally well received. The steepest of resale prices, the popular Wales Bonner x Samba sneaker in the colorway “Leopard” now resells for upwards of $2,500 on the GOAT website.
Nevertheless, while remaining a classic and staple, the Samba has become so widely worn that it no longer has its once unique appeal. Although I’ll never stop wearing mine, the desire to have your outfits stand out from the crowd is understandable. Here are some Samba alternatives that maintain a silhouette similar to the sneaker we know and love:
Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 SD: $140

Adidas Handball Spezial: $110

Puma Palermo: $90

Sam Edelman Jayne Sneaker: $120

Asics Skyhand: $100
