Student Musician Spotlight: Emma Stone: Behind ‘Porch Song’

<p><span style&equals;"font-weight&colon; 400&semi;">&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;The sweetest melody knows it could never compete&comma; I’ve tried&comma; I’ll keep trying” sang by Emma Stone&comma; in her new song titled &OpenCurlyQuote;Porch song’&period; Stone&comma; a Tulane Sophomore&comma; has just released her first song&comma; surpassing a thousand streams just days after her release&period; She has been involved with music since the age of 10&comma; starting on the piano&comma; then joining bands and learning to play the guitar&period; As I listened to her song&comma; I became fascinated with the lyrics and their deeper underlying meaning&period; Those that know Emma can attest to her talent&comma; and this new release is a gateway to her future career&period; <&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><span style&equals;"font-weight&colon; 400&semi;">I was curious what the meaning behind the &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Porch Song” was and why Stone decided to give it such a unique title&period; When I asked&comma; she told me she &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;wrote the entire song as she sat on her porch”&period; Stone &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;took everything she was feeling and made that into a sound”&period; When listening to the song now&comma; Stone is reminded of her safe place&comma; which &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;is an extremely magical feeling&period; The song is how it feels to sit on &lbrace;her&rcub; Stone has had numerous sleepless nights&comma; tossing and turning&comma; while anxiously waiting to see how her audience will react to her music&period; However&comma; she explained that &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;if it makes at least one person feel good&comma; then I am happy”&period; Stone shared that this has been her dream for so long&semi; &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;it&&num;8217&semi;s a very valient and beautiful thing to put music into the world&comma; and I am so happy to have been able to do that&period;”<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><span style&equals;"font-weight&colon;
