As the year begins to unfold, so do the looks of 2025. Classic elements and iconic aesthetics return, bringing unexpected comebacks for revival and reinvention. From belts, boots, and statement textures, to suede, studs, and skinny jeans, 2025 is letting us know what’s back and what’s next.

If the mid-2010s Coachella era taught us anything, it’s that bohemian style never fades for long, it simply reinvents itself. Boho fashion is here again, but this time with a more elevated and refined feel. This year’s “boho chic” resembles the free-spirited essence of the 1960s and 70s hippie movement, drawing inspiration from Isabel Marant’s fluid and western-inspired designs. Whether fully embracing the aesthetic or simply incorporating elements of it, flowy silhouettes, neutral palettes, and artisanal accents will move into the spotlight. Fringe will make a statement on outerwear, pants, and accessories, adding dimension and movement to effortless looks. Studs will most definitely be here and there. But expect suede – suede boots, jackets, belts, and bags. Taking on the boho aesthetic or not, suede will be everywhere.

Boho chic isn’t alone. Its rebellious alter ego, “rock chic,” emerges in 2025. Still inspired by Isabel Marant’s Parisian-cool, rock chic channels the edgy aesthetic of designers like Zadig & Voltaire. Trading in earthy, pale tones for darker hues and metallic accents, this style blends boho’s relaxed feel with rock’s bold attitude. More studs, on everything – boots, belts, bags, jackets, pants – and a hint of silver sequins or beads for that glam rock aesthetic.

This year will continue its return to minimalism, building on 2024’s “clean girl” trend – popularized by it-girls like Hailey Bieber, Sophia Richie, and Matilda Djerf. Embracing both sleek sophistication and effortless Scandinavian style, this aesthetic signals the rise of chic minimalism in 2025. This time around, minimalism will channel the effortless elegance of 90s fashion, embodying the aesthetics of Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein: hues of navy, black, and white, monochrome outfits, and clean silhouettes.

While narrower jeans are woven into this 90’s minimalistic aesthetic, they are returning across multiple styles. Yes, it’s happening. Skinny jeans, straight-leg, and bootcut denim are back in rotation for 2025. With this revival, expect simple and suave accessories, such as statement belts and clear lens glasses, enhancing the chic yet effortless appeal of minimalism.

Furthermore, waist-defining blazers and outerwear are already gaining traction, bringing a feminine yet structured silhouette to 2025 fashion. Cinched-waist designs are making their mark, whether through belted jackets or sharply tailored blazers that contour the waistline. For a timeless approach, pair them with your favorite slim-fit jeans. Alternatively, rock the “pantless trend” with cinched blazers styled over miniskirts or micro shorts – yes, don’t fret, those micro shorts from 2024 aren’t going anywhere.

As fashion evolves every year, the best styles are those that feel like you. Whether it’s effortless details, simple statements, or bold textures, this year’s trends invite you to mix, match, and make them your own.
