<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">CALLING ALL MOVIE LOVERS! For the first time ever, Tulane is having its very own student-run film festival this April! The festival will be making its debut in room 205 of the Woldenberg Art center on April 20th, and continuing at the Prytania Theatre on April 21st.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This festival is run by the Strategy, Leadership and Analytics Minor (SLAM) and Digital Media Practices (DMP) Coordinate Major at Tulane University. The first evening is produced by the students of a Tulane class, SLAM 3914: Special Topics &#8211; Film Festivals, taught by Professor Jolene Pinder. The second night is organized and managed by the faculty from the DMP Coordinate Major. The festival will open up opportunities for students who are interested in the creation of film, or simply interested in watching movies! Students will be able to show off their talent and hardwork by displaying their films this month. And what better way to support your peers than by watching their hard work come into fruition!</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Like any quality movie experience, there will be complimentary food and refreshments. The on-campus event is sponsored by Pizza Delicious and there will be free pizza. In addition, both nights will have two showings: one at 5:30 PM and the other at 7:30 PM. Between each screening, there will be an intermission where you can join a reception about the festival. The focus of this festival is film in New Orleans, which is a great way for students to integrate the culture of the city they are living in with media. Tulane’s Film Festival can help you explore your curiosity towards film and get a feel for the essence of the Film Festival Course. You may even discover a passion for film you never knew you had!</span></p>
