<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Being from the East Coast, New Orleans’s current weather is reason enough for me to believe it’s already summer. But let’s be honest; we haven’t even had our Spring Break yet – yes, I am also impatiently waiting. Schoolwork seems to be piling up with exams, papers, and endless homework. With the semester winding down and finals quickly approaching, let’s start planning our summer outfits so we have something to look forward to! </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Summer fashion is my favorite of all seasons because there are endless options. There have been so many new trends this year, with new styles incoming and past looks returning. There are countless combinations, from maxi dresses and purses to bikinis and sunnies. Social media has become very popular this year, and so many new trends are popping up everywhere. But are these trending ideas even cute? Here is my style guide for summer 2023, filled with the trends, styles, and pieces you should seriously be wearing this upcoming season. </span></p>
<h3><strong>Prints, prints, prints… and more prints: </strong></h3>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Summer is the best time of year to spice up your boring wardrobe. So let’s switch out some of those basics for vibrant summer patterns that will look amazing with a tan. I love pairing fun prints with white and denim basics; it adds a fun pop of color. Also, summer is a time to be fun and effortless. Adding a few fun prints to your wardrobe is the perfect way to ensure you are stylish and carefree – goodbye to the hours spent trying to color match; throw on a fun print with plain denim or white, and you are set. </span></p>
<h3><strong>Glitter, Shimmer, Sequins, GALORE: </strong></h3>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Like prints, a little shimmer and sequins are the perfect addition to any basic outfit. I am obsessed with the shimmery bikini top seen above and need to get my hands on it. Adding a little sparkle to your summer wardrobe enhances your natural summer, sunny glow. Also, although it might not be the most practical, the gem nails are adorable. This is the perfect subtle pop of sparkle for anyone not loving a sparkle moment. </span></p>
<h3><strong>Tasteful metallic and chrome: </strong></h3>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Chrome and metallics have become increasingly popular in recent months. I am obsessed with the recent trend of layering chrome on fun, vibrant nails, and I think this will be a major hit for the summer. The chrome nail trend took off when Hailey Bieber posted her “glazed donut” nails. While this trend tends to be overdone, I think there are still ways to incorporate some chrome and metallics into your wardrobe tastefully. </span></p>
