<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Waveland- the land in which waves, in fact, do not reside. However, despite its ironic name, Waveland is home to quaint antique shops, charming cafes, and beachside grills, a perfect southern beach town. As the sun gets stronger, the music gets louder, and the work gets lighter, Waveland is the ideal place to spend your Saturday. Here are four ways to conquer the Gulf of Mexico on a full stomach and with a whole heart. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">1. Visit the antique shop/walk around the town. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">When my friends and I arrived in the land of no waves, we were greeted warmly by the skies above. As it began pouring down, we knew our only option was to explore what this quaint town had to offer. We stumbled upon an &#8220;antique shop,&#8221; hoping to wait out the rain. This antique shop was filled with entertainment. Each nook and cranny has a different art piece, random object, household item, funny book, or unique jewelry piece. I would definitely recommend checking out this eclectic shop full of narratives and art. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">2. Grab a bite to eat overlooking the water at Buoy Bar. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This shack-type casual food stop is perfect for a quick bite and good vibes. Surprisingly, the menu is much more extensive than the expected burger and fries. With caprese-pressed sandwiches and wraps, this stop is perfect for sitting by the water and awaiting summer via the salty breeze.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">3. Stop for coffee at Coffee Culture. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Need a boost of caffeine before your dynamic adventures around the Mississippi beaches? Coffee Culture is the place to go. This small coffee shop right off the highway offers an extensive amount of flavor options. From S&#8217;mores to Purple Haze, each drink is personalized and caffeinated. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">4. Lay in the soft white sand. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I love nothing more than reading a good book, the sun and the sand. The water is not the ideal beach (hence the lack of waves), but the beach atmosphere remains eminent. Regardless, the sand on these beaches is just perfect for a good book or, even better, a relaxing nap! </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">If you have a car and love road trips- swapping the oak trees and Mardi Gras beads for palm trees and sparkling sand is the perfect weekend activity. Especially as the sun gets stronger, who wouldn&#8217;t love a good tan and a sneak peek into summer? </span></p>
