<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Are you tired of the same old off-campus activities? Putting on a cute outfit to go shopping and dining on Magazine Street is always fun, and the French Quarter scene always makes the best stories. But sometimes it’s best to get away from campus in a different direction. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Swamp tours are the perfect opportunity to grab a group of friends and spend the day outside. Who knows, you may even get a tan! Swamp tours can be expensive, but there are so many opportunities for students to experience the New Orleans swamps at Tulane. Hillel just offered three free trips to the swamp where all Freshmen were welcome. Tulane clubs and organizations are always organizing these events for free or at a small cost as well! This is definitely something all Tulane students should take advantage of.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">But if you can’t find a swamp tour sponsored by campus, here are some cheap swamp tours that have a great reputation and even better looking photos: </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This isn’t actually a swamp tour, but it is the cheapest and you get to see an alligator, which let&#8217;s be honest is everyone&#8217;s main goal. These are a little cheesier, but you can make it fun with a group of friends. This experience is $18 per person. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The next company will take you on a one and a half hour tour and costs $20 per person (if you book online and provide your own transportation). Cajun Pride Swamp Tours consistently has good reviews and offers multiple time-slots, so you can organize your trip at your own convenience. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Cajun Encounters is slightly more expensive, but it is also a longer tour. For two hours you can tour the Honey Island Swamp, which is one of the most pristine swampland habitats in the United States! It costs $30 per person, but only if you provide your own transportation. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The last option that I found is a kayak tour called the Manchac Swamp Kayak Tour through Wild Louisiana Tours. This experience lasts two hours and has a two person minimum (which could be a cute date idea)! However, it is the most expensive option, at $59 per person. After looking through photos on the site, I&#8217;d say it&#8217;s definitely worth the splurge!</span></p>
