<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Shapewear has been a staple in women&#8217;s closets for years, and Kim Kardashian&#8217;s launch of Skims in 2019 brought back its relevance in our everyday lives. However, Skims quickly expanded by launching collections of loungewear, intimates, and everyday wear, becoming a favorite brand by many, myself included. Oftentimes when famous influencers drop new brands, it can be hard to know whether or not the products are worth it or if they are only popular because the creator is famous. However, I can honestly say that Skims has grown rapidly in popularity for a reason. In this article, I will share some of my favorite pieces and why they are worth the splurge. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Cotton Rib Tank is the first item from Skims I tried and is my favorite basic tank top. I had wanted it for a while but was doubtful it was worth paying $36 for. I put it on my Christmas list last year in case I was right, but I am happy to say I was wrong. It is the perfect ribbed tank that goes with everything. You don’t have to wear a bra with it, which makes it even more comfortable, and let’s not forget to mention it’s a </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">very</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> flattering cut. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I used to think the perfect black bodysuit didn&#8217;t exist until I tried my friend&#8217;s Skims and immediately ordered one for myself. It seriously looks good on everyone, and the material is stretchy, so it sculpts your body in the most flattering way. It truly lives up to its name- it is literally a cami bodysuit that &#8220;fits everybody.&#8221; It&#8217;s the perfect basic that can be styled in so many ways, such as with jeans and a sweater during the day or with cargo or leather pants for a night out. Similar to the Cotton Rib Tank, there&#8217;s no need to wear a bra with it because of how supportive the material is. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Finding good intimates can be such a struggle sometimes. I wanted to find a consistently reliable brand that doesn’t feel uncomfortable or like I’m wearing a bra. Since I loved everything else I had from Skims, I decided to try some of their intimates, too. The Fits Everybody T-Shirt Bra is so soft and incredibly well-fitting. In general, anything in the cotton jersey material is super breathable. The shapewear really does shape you in the best way possible and is perfect, especially under tight dresses. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This item is currently in my cart and the next thing from Skims I really want to try. It seems like the perfect basic t-shirt that you can layer or wear alone, and if it&#8217;s anything like the</span><a href="https://skims.com/products/fits-everybody-cami-bodysuit-navy"><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Fits Everybody Cami Bodysuit</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, it will suck you in and make for a very flattering fit. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">You honestly can&#8217;t go wrong with anything from Skims. Although it&#8217;s definitely a pricer brand–especially for such basic pieces–the quality is there, so they last longer and don&#8217;t become worn out fast. It&#8217;s the perfect place to invest in a few solid capsule wardrobe essentials and use them to build various outfits for different occasions. </span></p>
