It’s Wednesday Happy Hour, and suddenly, you blink and it’s 2 a.m. Sunday morning and your craving for pizza keeps growing. The pick-me-up your body needs? 30 minutes every Sunday to get your life together! Shoo away the sunday scaries with this self-care routine and give yourself one less thing to worry about when you need to cram in those longhours of studying for an exam. Find which routine works best for you, and I promise you’ll thank yourself later.

Start with a hair mask. Find the one that’s best for you!

1. Coconut Oil

Tried and true, this replenishing method works for all hair types, and you likely already have it stuffed away somewhere in your dorm room! Massage room-temperature oil onto your ends and let your hair soak it all in for 30 minutes or more (I like to sleep in mine). Bye bye split ends and hello gorgeous, shiny hair!

This mask single-handedly reduces that unavoidable NOLA frizz, and provides the deep conditioning that your hair is begging for after a week of flat ironing and blowdrying. Apply to hair after shampooing in the shower, and leave on for the duration of time that it takes to shave your legs. The perfect mask for the girl on the go—or the girl who nursed her hangover until 3 p.m. until finally deciding to make the trek to Howie T.

  1. Olaplex No. 3

Hillary Clinton uses this hair mask. No joke. A life-saver for girls who chemically process their hair. Apply to damp hair and leave on for as long as you want, then rinse out with shampoo and conditioner. This mask will leave your hair feeling as thick and healthy as it was before you started dying it.

Next up, find a face mask that makes your skin feel as fresh as a baby’s bottom. Here are some great options!

4. Lush Mask of Magnaminty

This mask has changed my life. I’m literally wearing it right now as I write this. Apply all over and rinse off once dried. Roughly fifteen minutes will get rid of all the stress pimples brooding for the upcoming week and leave your skin exfoliated and glowing. Did I mention how great it smells?!

5. Karuna Correct + Melting Boost

The most fun mask I’ve done in a long time, and I do a lot of masks. This is your typical sheet mask with a fun, effective twist. First, apply the melting boost dots to any pimples or under eye circles that you want to quickly fix. Apply the sheet mask over it all and watch the magic happen by removing when the dots dissolve. This will leave your skin feeling fresh and bouncy.

6. Lush Rosy Cheeks

Can you tell that I love Lush? It’s hard not to love a brand that’s so ethically and morally progressive, especially when their products are this amazing. If you struggle with redness or dry patches like me, this mask is a no brainer. It moisturizes and refreshes while being gentle enough for daily use. Be sure you have enough space in your mini-fridge, though, because this has to be kept cold!

Along with a hair and skin mask, every Sunday I like to whiten my teeth, apply a tanner, and paint my nails so I can get myself together for the upcoming week. Feeling relaxed and refreshed at the beginning of the week sets the tone for your next five days, so don’t slack on your self-care!
