<p>Ahhh, parents weekend. One of the best weekends of the year for many reasons (one being the excess of amazing meals you get treated to) is quickly approaching. If you’re looking for the trendiest, best spots to take your parents to dine this year, look no further. I’ve rounded up my top pick for every occasion, so that you and your family feel full all weekend long!</p>
<p><strong>For lunch: Cowbell</strong></p>

<p>This little treasure on Oak Street is the coziest place to sit and enjoy some comfort food. With items like their signature crawfish mac and cheese and famous gourmet burgers, your stomach will be extremely happy after eating here. Cowbell has the perfect mix of ecletic Southern food and vibes to show your parents how we do it down south.</p>

<p>We all know wine bars are super trendy lately, and what better spot to enjoy some red than a the warm New Orleans backyard? Bacchanal serves wine, cocktails, and apps, and prides itself on distributing local, unique wines. Enjoy live music out back at daily happy hour from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.</p>

<p>Meril is the latest of chef Emeril Lagasse’s newest NOLA venture, and it doesn’t disappoint. The beautifully plated food set in a beautiful but low-key environment makes the perfect setting to enjoy food inspired by many national cuisines, like signature flatbreads and delectable desserts.</p>
<p><strong>A send-off brunch: Apolline</strong></p>

<p>This modern, classy spot right on Magazine Street is a great place to show your parents the spirit of the city. Enjoy bottomless mimosas and bloody mary’s while munching on classic brunch favorites infused with NOLA flair. Be sure to make a reservation in advance though, as celebrities are known to hit up this in-demand converted house.</p>
