<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">While there never seems to be a lack of Loyola bands and musicians, some just stand above the rest in terms of quality and charm. Jules Weinheimer is a friend to many, a classmate to some, and a main fixture of the New Orleans music scene that indeed stands above the crowd.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Performing and releasing music under the name “Juleser”, Jules produces dreamy, guitar heavy tracks that transport you to nostalgic moments you yourself haven’t even experienced. With catchy riffs and sincere lyrics, you can’t help but put Jules’ music on repeat.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">It’s weird when people hear the songs you spent so much time working on and I’m hoping people will appreciate the music,” said Jules. “I’ve gotten pretty positive responses so far.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, Jules finds inspiration in his everyday life in Uptown New Orleans. His personal life and experiences provide him with a never ending stream of inspiration that seems to never stop producing fantastic music.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Writing songs about stuff I’m going through makes me feel better and I hope makes other people feel better when they listen to them,” said Jules. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">His most recent project is the EP </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Julser is Shy</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">, a five track accumulation of previous favorites and new music. Released on April 21st of this year, the EP highlights a level of professionalism and confidence that is often only found in seasoned veteran musicians. Even if Jules claims to be shy, you’d never hear it here. </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Oami, </span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">the first track on the EP, was released as a single last year, garnering several thousand listens on Spotify and becoming a frequent fixture of bedroom pop playlists made by Nola college students. Out of the other four, I find myself coming back to </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Thin Like Paper–</span></i> <i><span style="font-weight: 400;">“My favorite song off the EP is probably Thin Like Paper because I think I felt the most comfortable when I was writing it,</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">”</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Jules told me earnestly</span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8212; </span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">which is the perfect marriage of gentle and upbeat. I can’t help but bob my head when it comes on and to me, listening to it is similar to the feeling you get from pulling on a sweater. Warm, fuzzy, comforting.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“The hardest song to finish was </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Adelaide</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> because it was the first song I wrote for the project. I wrote and recorded all the songs in my bedroom so it was fun to figure out a process that worked for me,” said Jules. “Finishing that song gave me the confidence to write the rest of them.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The music video for </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Adelaide</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> is equally as mesmerizing as the song, which features dream-like imagery and scenes of sunny New Orleans. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Directed, shot, and edited by Quinn Young, the video captures the spirit of Jules’ music perfectly– sweet, humorous, and charming, just like Jules himself.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Hooked on Juleser and can’t get enough? Don’t fret, Jules plans on putting out more music as soon as possible.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“I’m working on a single right now that I’ll put out at the beginning of summer. Putting songs out as soon as they’re done without any promotion is really fun and exciting,” said Jules. “When everyone gets back to New Orleans for the next school year I&#8217;ll start gigging pretty regularly.”</span></p>
