<p>I have always been a firm believer in a woman’s ability to accomplish anything she sets her mind to (I mean, have you seen <em>Hidden Figures?</em>) And then, I attempted a liquid cat eye. An hour into my makeup, everything was looking flawless, and one wrong flick had me looking like I’d done my makeup mid-sneeze in the Uber ride over. Luckily, I’ve discovered two foolproof tricks to ensure a perfect wing every time, so that even the most artistically challenged ladies can play makeup guru for the day.</p>
<p><strong>Trick #1: The Bobby Pin Method</strong></p>
<p>The beauty of this three-step hack hack is that you’ve probably already got the key ingredient (or ten of them) hidden somewhere in your carpet. Once you retrieve a discarded bobby pin, the rest is mind-blowingly easy.</p>
<p>Step 1. Paint the little “v” at the end of the pin with liquid liner.</p>
<p>Step 2. Stamp that baby on the end of your eyelid.</p>
<p>Step 3. Take it back to kindergarten and color within the lines. Use a little more liner to connect the ends of the wing and fill it in.</p>

<p><strong>Trick #2: The Tape Method</strong></p>
<p>Turns out, ordinary scotch tape has more use than just hanging posters on move-in day. With this trick, even the shakiest of hands can achieve the perfect exotic swoop.</p>
<p>Step 1. Cut a few inches of tape, and stick it against the back of your hand a few times (decreasing some of the stickiness will keep the tape from pulling too hard at the delicate skin around your eyes.)</p>
<p>Step 2. Carefully place one end of the tape at the edge of your eyelid, and angle the other end toward the end of your eyebrow.</p>
<p>Step 3<em>.</em> Using the tape as a ruler, draw your cat eye against the edge, without having to worry about keeping a straight line.</p>
<p>Step 4. Slowly remove the tape to reveal a flawless wing!</p>
