<p>Getting ready for your 9 AM class is never fun. After tossing and turning in bed for 20 minutes until you realize you have to go, you use all of your energy to jump out of bed, take a shower, brush your teeth, and then, the worst part: choose an outfit.</p>
<p>Anybody who is into fashion has a closet full of clothes, most of which we don’t even wear. And at nine in the morning, who has the energy to put together all their favorite name brand articles of clothing and walk around campus flexing on everybody? Personally, I am much too lazy to do this and I usually opt for something else, what I call functional fashion. Looking your best does not necessarily mean wearing jeans or khakis with a button-down shirt or other outfits that people generally associate with “dressing up.” The truth is, dressing down can provide you with a sense of fashion too! So, to all my friends and the rest of the guys on Tulane’s campus, here are some tips.</p>

<p>Sweatpants. Crazy, right? Well, before you go and throw on those baggy sweatpants you wear to the gym, let me be a bit more clear. Sweatpants include a wide range of styles. For example, windbreaker pants, track pants, training pants, and joggers to name a few. With pants like these, you can expect a tighter and skinnier fit, much more unique than typical baggy sweatpants that give the appearance that you just rolled out of bed. A great source for sweatpants like these is Adidas. Adidas has taken the fashion world by storm and their selection for pants is unmatched.</p>
<p>Next on the list is shirts! If you want to put a little twist on the norm, opt for oversized tees. Oversized clothing has become trendy within the last couple of years, especially with the launch of Kanye West’s line from Yeezy Season 1 and 2. Oversized clothing is both trendy and comfortable, making this article of clothing a great pair with some joggers. If oversized clothing is not your thing, a plain t-shirt will do just fine.</p>

<p>If the weather&#8217;s cold, break out a basic hoodie. Now be careful, wearing a hoodie is often times deemed “lazy.” I’m sure you have all seen guys wearing hoodies with sweatpants and girls with hoodies and yoga pants. So where does the hoodie fall short? Usually lazy outfits are all over the place. For example, blue sweatpants and a red hoodie. The color scheme here simply does not work. If you are going to break out a hoodie for those lazy days, tryto match, and if that isn’t happening, shop for plain colored hoodies to make matching your outfits much more seamless. Some great sources for simple hoodies are ASOS, Urban Outfitters, and again, Adidas. Crewnecks are also a good alternative to hoodies because they are not worn as often and will make you stand out!</p>
<p>Lastly, sneakers. When dressing lazy, people usually pick out the sneakers they wear most often. If you’re dressing down, you’re not going to pull out your Stan Smiths or Yeezy Boosts. What is important here is to purchase a pair of sneakers that can withstand getting beat up on those lazy days, but also are fashionable and comfortable. My favorite functional fashion sneaker picks are Vans Old Skool sneakers, Roshe Runs, and Adidas Ultra Boosts. All of these sneakers are relatively affordable and their comfort is unmatched.</p>
<p>Next time you&#8217;re feeling groggy or grumpy in the morning, look to these tips for what to wear.</p>
