
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Demi Lovato was an early childhood star that many late 90s and early 2000s babies may recognize from shows like <em>Barney and Friends </em>and <em>Sonny with a Chance</em>. Lovato also starred in one of Disney’s best-released movies (in my mind): <em>Camp Rock (</em>both one and two)<em>. </em>Aside from being a television star, Lovato is also an incredible artist who sings with immense passion. They sang during many live events like sporting games, television shows, and concerts, and were also a judge for many reality television competitions.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This early start in the celebrity, privacy-less world steered them in a direction they could not mentally withstand. In 2010, while on tour with the world-famous Jonas Brothers, Lovato got into a brawl with a tour dancer which ended up all over the media. It turned out that Demi was suffering from an eating disorder, forms of self-harm, and bipolar disorder (Biography.com). They seemed to be doing better in 2012 when they joined Britney Spears as a judge in America’s <em>X-Factor</em>, until it was canceled after three seasons. Then, in 2018, Demi overdosed and nearly died. They were declared legally blind in both eyes for a period of time and worked incredibly hard to fix their struggles instead of dwelling over the physical adversity they were facing.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Lovato refused to surrender. Through it all, they continued to fight and take ownership of their life. After their overdose, Lovato acknowledged what happened and reassured their fans that they were okay and attempting to move forward. They presented their documentary, <em>Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil, </em>which explained their rollercoaster of a life in order to keep fans in the loop.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In 2019, Scooter Braun became Lovato’s new manager. Scooter Braun is an extremely well-known manager that was also working with Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande at the time. Lovato was getting their life together and making a new name for themselves. They got engaged to Max Ehrich in July 2020, which only lasted three months and soon ended in September 2020. ;</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Lovato struggled for many years of their life. However, once they announced their new pronouns of they/them, they were able to truly find themselves and flourish in the way that they always had the potential to.</p>
