
<p><em>I spoke with Lily Gravitz, a junior majoring in political science, who studied abroad in Sydney. She attended The University of Sydney, a renowned university located in Sydney through a Tulane-sponsored exchange program.</em></p>



<p><a href="https://www.facebook.com/lily.gravitz"></a>Q: What drew you to Sydney? <br><br>Sydney is a beautiful, fun, exciting, cultural city with beautiful beaches.</p>



<p>Q: What are your classes like compared to classes at Tulane? <br><br>In the school of liberal arts at Tulane, classes are a lot more discussion based where teachers want to hear from students about their experiences and opinions.</p>



<p>Q: What’s a typical day like? <br><br>I would wake up, grab amazing avocado toast from the cafe next to my dorm, walk to University of Sydney for class and then take the beach to the bus from class to get some sun!</p>



<p>Q: What&#8217;s your favorite thing to do in the city?<br><br>Get acai bowls at Bondi Beach with friends.</p>



<p>Q: Where have you traveled so far? Is it easy to get around? <br><br>New Zealand, Thailand, Singapore, China, all over Australia. So easy to get around! Easy flights all around Asia and Sydney is a super easy to get around because they have a light rail tram, ferries, busses, and trains.</p>



<p>Q: What is something someone considering studying in<em> </em>Sydney should know?<br><br>Don’t be afraid to try new things! I went sky diving in New Zealand and never thought I would do it but it was an incredible experience and you never know until you try new things (abroad is the best time to do it). Something someone considering Sydney should know: breakfast is the biggest meal of the day so you will learn to love breakfast called “brekkie” in Australia. Avocado toast, pancakes, eggs, anything!</p>
