<p>We all know that NOLA doesn’t have much of a Winter. But that doesn’t stop us from getting in our cozy sweaters the minute it starts to cool off (even if it means that it is really 60 degrees out). So, with our last few weeks of beautiful weather, here is a list of a couple things to do to really enjoy the warmth!</p>

<li><strong>Get a Snoball to Cool off</strong></li>
</ol>
<p>One go-to shop is <a href="http://www.iwsnoballs.com/">Imperial Woodpecker Snoballs</a>, which is perfect if you are looking for some homemade and gourmet flavors, such as black sesame cream, earl grey cream, lemon basil, and even watermelon jalapeño if you are feeling extra adventurous.</p>
<p>Another classic shop is <a href="https://www.facebook.com/Plum-Street-Snoballs-46126897621/">Williams Plum Street Snoball,</a> an institution here in Uptown. On those humid NOLA days, take a 15-minute walk down Plum Street and grab a snoball served in Chinese style takeout box. Another plus, I guarantee you won’t spend more than $5.</p>
<p>A final place to check out is <a href="http://www.snobliz.com/">Hansen’s Sno-Bliz</a>. Hansen’s dates all the way back to the Great Depression and fun fact, is home to the first ice shaving machine. Take the time to get away from campus and head down to Tchoupitoulas Street for one of these snoballs because according to their motto, “There are no shortcuts to quality!”<strong> </strong></p>

<li><strong>Dine in a Courtyard </strong></li>

<p>For starters, definitely check out <a href="http://restaurantavo.com/">Avo </a>on Magazine Street. This family-owned Italian restaurant became famous throughout the country after the Head Chef was featured on multiple Food Network shows. However, in my opinion, the real reason to check it out is its alluringly industrial yet quaint courtyard. Added bonus, they have happy hour from 4-6 Monday through Thursday.</p>
<p>Another beautiful outdoor patio can be found at <a href="http://www.bacchanalwine.com/">Bacchanal Wine</a>, which is a self-described “wine-laboratory” that specializes in pairing wines with cheese platters and other little bites. Their courtyard is perfect if you are looking for a fun night out with live jazz in the Ninth Ward.</p>
<p>If you are looking for a more romantic evening, definitely head to <a href="http://www.cafeamelie.com/">Café Amelie</a> in the French Quarter. Their outdoor courtyard will provide a lush and charming setting to enjoy the delicious Cajun food they offer. Go there for dinner or if you’re having a private event, rent out the entire courtyard for a magical garden experience!</p>
