<div>If you’ve ever been called &#8216;too much&#8217; for being yourself, welcome to the club; this one’s for the bold, the hilarious, and the gloriously outrageous women who refuse to shrink themselves for anyone.</div>

<div>Alix Earle has spent years building a business around oversharing, getting ready with her followers, and turning everyday moments into content. So, like many other fans, I was excited and curious to watch her family’s newest reality show, Earle Meets World. Alix Earle has created an online persona built around independence, confidence, and her success as a young woman in the entertainment industry. Because of that, I expected the show to go deeper into her personal life and show a side of her we hadn&#8217;t already seen online.</div>

<div>Instead, I felt like the show spent eight episodes circling the same storyline… her relationship with Braxton Berrios.</div>
<div>A huge part of the season focused on Alix’s breakup with her “NFL man” Braxton Berrios. Breakups are obviously complicated, especially when they happen publicly, but the show kept returning to the same conversation without adding much. Alix kept saying she&#8217;s never been alone and that she always feels like she needs a boyfriend. I found this interesting because it felt different from the independent image she has built for herself online.</div>

<div>That contrast became even more noticeable when watching her alongside her younger sister, Ashtin Earle. Ashtin is a Tulane graduate, which obviously made her stand out to me as a current Tulane student. While Alix is constantly surrounded by people watching her every move, Ashtin seemed more comfortable doing her own thing. She comes across as more private and independent, which made the difference between the sisters pretty obvious. Ironically, while Alix is the main character of the show, I found myself paying more attention to Ashtin.</div>

<div>This isn&#8217;t to say that Alix comes across badly; if anything, the show just made her seem more complicated than the version of herself that exists online. Her TikTok persona is confident and independent, but Earle Meets World shows someone who seems much more dependent on people around her, especially when it comes to relationships. I think the show would have been more interesting if it had explored that side of Alix instead of the surface-level complaining about Braxton and other men.</div>

<div>Overall, my main issue with the series is that Alix’s life is already very public; her followers already know about her relationship, drama, lifestyle, and the people in her life. Because of this, I think the show fell short of actually diving deeply into her world. Instead, it often felt like a long TikTok rather than a reality show that revealed something new about Alix.</div>

<div>So here’s to the girls who are always a little too loud, a little too real, and never afraid to be the life of the party. Let’s follow in Alix’s footsteps and keep turning the volume up until the world finally learns to listen.</div>
